SPEED LIMIT
Please be aware that the road leading to the school has a speed limit of 50km/h.
PARKING
There is limited parking available at Kilcoskan National School so therefore designated parking is solely for the use of
staff working in the school. Please note that specific parking arrangements have been made for children in our
special classes. The following guidelines are in place for dropping off and picking children up from the school.
MORNING DROP OFF – Gates Open From 8:50am
The school yard is supervised from 8:50am. Children can be dropped off to school in the morning by using the set
down area in front of the school or alternatively you can park your vehicle along the road and walk your child to the
school gate. If you intend to spend any length of time at the school gate we ask that you park your vehicle as the set
down area should not be used to park for any length of time.
AFTERNOON PICK UP @ 1:40 and 2:40pm
As there is a significant number of children leaving the school at the one time NO PARKING is permitted in the set
down area at pick up times. This is to ensure the safety of all children and adults alike. We request you park your
vehicle along the roadway and meet your child at the school gate.

CLEAR WAYS
On the roadway in front of the school building there are yellow zig zag road markings. We ask you to respect these
road markings and DO NOT park on them at any time. They allow for improved visibility of the road for both
pedestrians and vehicles entering or leaving the school.
It is also requested that due consideration is given to speed and courtesy during all school movements at drop off
and collection times.
