I hope you are all feeling ok at the moment. I sent books home with most of the class on Thursday 12th when we got word of the school closing. These are just suggestions - it is parents prerogative to choose any tasks or activities for their child in this difficult time. I hope to be a support to that, not a further stress or ‘homework police’. If you do want your children to continue schoolwork these are some suggestions.
I would encourage children to continue with the work I highlighted as much as possible - especially Maths and History. History topics allow for a variety of learning and practice in reading, writing, art and critical thinking. Encourage the children to create projects in any form they would like on the topics that I highlighted. These could be posters, booklets, artwork, videos, drama plays… etc.
As well as that I have listed some ideas to encourage your children this week. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need additional support. I hope to update this as the weeks go on.
